NASAL STRIP ACTIVATOR
Nasal strips, like Breathe Right, are expensive and are designed to be worn only once. After you use a nasal strip the first time, the strip adhesive is depleted and the strip no longer adheres to your nose.
In many instances, the strip comes loose after only a few minutes or in the middle of the night. You have to throw it away and apply a new strip.
Breathe Adhese is a medical grade skin conditioner and protector (commonly found in skin moisturizers such as Neutrogena) that, almost like magic, activates the adhesive on the original nasal strip so it can be used five or more times.
Breathe Adhesive activates the adhesive on a used nasal strip so a single strip can be reused 5 or more times.
The Ideal Solution
On average we have experienced one out of three nasal strips lose adhesion after the first few minutes of application or come loose in the middle of the night so you have to throw it away.
Nasal strip manufacturers design the strips to last for only one application by using an acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive that loses tackiness and bond-ing capability after being used only one time.
Once the strip loses its "stickiness" you have to throw it away.
Strip manufacturers financially benefit from this "planned obsolescence"—the more strips you buy the more money they make.
They can get away with this because their product is patented—they have a monopoly on the technology—so there's only one source from whom you can buy.
Because the nasal strips are so effective you put up with this and keep buying the strips.
The ideal solution would be to have the manufacturers use a stronger adhesive so the strips would "stick" better, last longer and be reused many times.
Another possible solution would be to buy the same adhesive that's used in the manufacture of nasal strips and re-apply it to the used strip and your nose.
This is a very expensive and messy process. You would have to buy the liquid adhesive in bulk. In addition, portions of adhesive would remain on the surface of your nose, leaving a tacky, unsightly and difficult to remove residue.
A third option would be to buy in bulk the same adhesive tape the nasal strip manufacturers use on their strips (i.e. 3M 1509 acrylic double-sided medical tape)—cut it to size, attach it to the used nasal strip and then to your nose.
This approach would be quite expensive and tedious. You'd have to buy the product in bulk and you'd have to measure and cut the tape prior to each use.
Through our research we learned there is an adequate amount of adhesive left on a used nasal strip. It just needs to be activated.
We discovered there are two ingredients that are used in skin moisturizers and skin care products (i.e. Neutrogena) that, when applied to your nose and put in contact with adhesive side of the used nasal strip, reactivates the adhesive on the strip—giving the used strip the tack it needs to adhere to your nose for a period of at least 8 hours.
A single strip can be reused 5 or more times simply by applying the Breathe Adhese liquid adhesive activator to
your nose before each use and then
re-applying the used nasal strip to your nose.
Breathe Adhese also creates a protective coating between your skin and the nasal strip. This also provides a clear waterproof barrier between your skin and the strip against sweat and body oils which reduce the strip's adhesive potential.
5 TIMES FACTOR. Breathe Adhese will reactivate the adhesive on a single strip five or more times. When you're done with a strip, place it in a secure place adhesive side up. To reuse it, follow the directions below. NOTE: It's quite normal to see slight lifting at the edges of the strip.
1. CLEAN. Wash and dry your nose with soap or alcohol to remove oils, make-up to help the nasal strip stick.
2. BRUSH. Brush Breathe Adhese activator over the area of your nose where you'll put the used strip. Wait about 30 seconds for the activator to dry.
3. PLACE. Place the used nasal strip in the middle of your nose so that the bottom of the strip covers the top of the nostril flare.
4. APPLY. Press down the ends of the used strip for about 10 seconds. Gently rub to re-activate the adhesive on the strip so that the strip sticks securely to your nose.
"I use the Breathe Right nasal strip every night. In the morning, when I take it off , I have to throw it away because it no longer sticks. Also, there's about three strips in every package that come loose a few minutes after I put them on. So, I have to toss those strips as well.
"i was introduced to Breathe Adhese by my father-in-law. He told me how it was possible to use the same strip over and over again— and how the ingredients in Breathe Adhese re-activate the adhesive that's already on the strip.
"Believe me, I was skeptical—that is until I tried it.
"Sure enough, it worked as my father-in-law promised .
"The first time I tried Breathe Adhese I saved my used strip when I took it off in the morning instead of throwing it away. That evening I brushed some Breathe Adhese on my nose and re-applied the strip. It took about 15 seconds to dry.
"I put the strip on my nose, pressed it down on both sides and, voilà, it stuck. The bond was probably stronger than the original strip.
"I removed the strip in the morning after about 7 hours of sleep. It came off quite easily and there was no residue on my nose.
"I used the same strip nine times— it could have gone longer—but the strip was getting kind of gross so I started with a new strip. Instead of using 30 strips, with Breathe Adhese , I now use only four" Emily Greyson, San Francisco, CA
"Breathe Adhese is One of Those Rare
Products Where You Do Get Dramatic Savings "
"By profession I'm a financial analyst so I'm always looking at ways to save money without giving up quality or value. Breathe Adhese is one of those rare products that not only works as promised but you realize a dramatic savings —$20 for $125 in value.
If you're a frequent nasal strip user who doesn't like to throw money away every day, you'd be crazy not to use Breatheƒ Adhese." Troy Christensen, Rexcurg, ID
"When I Heard About Breathe Adhese,
I had a Hard Time Believing Their Claims"
"When I heard about Breathe Adhese, I had a hard time believing their claim that a single strip could be reused 5times. So, I took a chance, spent the $20 (I had a 30-day trial period where I could return the product if I didn't like it) and bought a bottle of Breathe Adhese.
"Guess what? Breathe Adhese worked and now I can afford to use a Breathe Right strip every night. Plus, the strip stays on all through the night. Larry Anderson, Atlanta, GA
"When Frequent Nasal Strip Users Get Wind of Breathe Adhese, They'll Start Using It"
"I have a real concern that if Breathe Adhese catches on, nasal strip companies like Breathe Right will go out of business. When frequent nasal strip users get wind of Breathe Adhese, they'll start using it.
Even if they get only 3 uses out of a single strip instead of the promised 5, the nasal strip companies will start losing money—or else be forced to add more adhesive to their strips so the strips can be used more than once—or offer to sell Breathe Adhese as a part of their product line.
I hope they don't go out of business because I can't live without my Breath Right nasal strip. Now, I can't live without my Breathe Adhese too.. Ashton Quigley, San Diego, CA
